Registration 2019 has three parts this year…

The cost of Wild Maine Witchcamp

Each year, in gathering together as a camp community, we also gather together the resources that make our container possible. As organizers, we carefully consider each cost and weigh the need for a strong container with the need to cut costs where we can.

Wild Maine Witchcamp uses a Pay As You Can, No One Turned Away For Lack Of Funds model.

This means you can come and pay zero dollars and share the same experience with someone who pays $1,000. It also means we rely on those of you who can pay to do so. This is part of our magic and our activism.

The money we raise each year covers a week of truly amazing food with many local and organic ingredients, a beautiful venue, and skilled teachers and facilitators from our local community and around the country who come and offer their skills. We greatly value the work of our organizers and teachers and do not expect them to pay to attend camp on top of the countless hours they put in before during and after camp.

$450 is our “break even” registration cost, with all the above info in mind. Folks who pay this amount are covering the cost of their food as well as their share of fixed costs such as site rental and teacher travel expenses.

$200 is our “covering food” registration cost, meaning that you are covering the cost of your food, but not contributing towards other costs of camp.

$500-1,000+ this is what makes camp possible. Folks who can pay over $450 are a critical part of our camp economy, as this amount helps to take on a greater share of the fixed facility and facilitator costs and enables us to welcome folks who would otherwise not be able to afford to come. Without folks paying larger amounts we would not have been able to run camp the last two years, thank you!

$0 is also great! We are honored and grateful that you are able to join us! Due to the nature of our online registration system we will need to send you a coupon code to anyone paying less than $50 with their registration. Please email us at to let us know you’d like a code to register and we will happily send you one! This not intended as an extra hoop to jump through, just a technological situation we are juggling, thanks for your understanding.

You can register for any amount! The above numbers are simply points of reference to help you decide what feels appropriate for you.

Note: if you are planning to pay less than $50 or would like to pay with a check, then we will need to give you a special code to register. Please email us at and we’ll be happy to send you a code and help you through the process as needed.
